Julie and Rick's Wedding at Fonthill Castle, Doylestown

What a beautiful wedding this was! Rick and Julie got married in late Spring of 2022. They invited a small group of their very best friends and their family members. They started with a first look on the terrace of the visitors center, followed by family photos and their ceremony on the lawn over the looking the reflecting pond. We took a few minutes to compose some portraits of the couple and they headed off to cocktail hour in the tent. The band played a special song that Rick wrote for Julie as a wedding day surprise. I love witnessing such meaningful moments like this. After the the band was done playing, I peaked over the shoulder of the guitar player to snap a photo of the sheet music. He turned to me and said, "Veteran move!" Ha!

The couple and guests moved into the main area for speeches, dinner and dancing. The tables were decorated with vases filled with pink peony, ranunculus and blue delphinium. The flowers popped against the white tablecloths. The room was fresh and inviting. Julie and Rick opted for a buffet style dinner. After dinner the guests got up for dancing. This was a dancing crew! I loved this wedding and felt honored to be there. Thank you Rick and Julie, it was a truly perfect day.
