A group of gals hosted a bridal shower for my lovely sista over the weekend. The shower was coordinated by the bridesmaids. Led by the maid of honor, my other sis, we decorated with gold geometric shapes, succulents, air plants, clear balloons and beautiful wild flowers. Ashley brought her unique vision into life and the room felt like pure magic. Bravo! @hernegatives ;) Mojitos and mimosas were served from the bar that we built in an empty closet. Our family foodie, also BFF to the bride, prepared a 5-star menu for the guests to enjoy. The spread was absolutely delicious. Sweet and savory dishes were designed with the brides favorites in mind. For dessert, @Brittnicotilla, made a white cake topped with strawberries. Everything went together perfectly!
Since the dawn of pinterest, the wedding and shower industry has been brought to a new level of creativity. For many, that means more work. When you are in the thick of it, it can be very fun but also overwhelming. If there is one thing that I have learned from being in the wedding business, and an assistant on this shower, it is this, it IS worth it. It really is. Seeing your loved ones filled with joy, excitement and gratitude is like nothing else- that is the value in all of it. I know this bride pretty well, I used to call her my snuggle bunny, I could see her thinking, all this for me?! Yes, we love you. You deserve to be surrounded by all of this love and to celebrate your life and future. We are so fortunate to be part of the milestones. Can't wait for the bachelorette party and the big day!
Special Thanks to Our Mom, we couldn't do it without you and to Brenda Brolly, the scissor wizard. And all the other helpful hands that were involved in making this day so pretty and tasty!
