Material Culture is in Philadelphia, it is a showroom/store/cafe /wedding venue and it is filled to the brim with unique treasures from all over the world. If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting, I highly recommend that you do. When Ed and Maria asked me to photographer their wedding, I had not yet visited Material Culture.
We decided to meet a few months ahead of time to scope out photo locations. When I entered the building I was amazed and so excited to be part of this wedding. If I could be the resident photographer at this venue, I would. It even smells good!
Ed and Maria got married in late November. They opted for a first look, on the second floor of the building, under the lanterns and surrounded by beautiful handcrafted furniture. Maria and her family members strung marigolds together and hung them in an archway at the alter. Surrounded by the nearest and dearest, they exchanged vows and ring and kisses and danced the night away. It was perfect in every way. So happy I was there. Thank you Ed and Maria. XOX
